HOT SUMMER GIVEAWAY - WORTH ALMOST $565!
As I mentioned before, my magazine had a huge beauty sale so now you have the chance to win all of these items of which I spent a total of $44. All proceeds from the beauty sale went to Sloan-Kettering’s Pediatric Cancer Care so my $44 was well spent.
Why do I do this? Because I really do get a huge kick out of doing nice things for people. Those closest to me will tell you that. And, really, because people should know what it feels like to work at a magazine where awesome things like beauty sales are a regular occurrence.
How do you win? 1. Follow me. 2. Reblog this post. 3. Feel free to unfollow me after the giveaway winner is announced as I don’t do this for the followers. FYI, reblogging this post multiple times will NOT increase your chances of winning.
How will the winner be chosen? Random.org.
When will the winner be announced? Tuesday, June 7 at 9 PM. But please note that you only have until 8 PM on June 7 to reblog before I close the contest so I can pick the winner.
What hidden costs are there? NONE. I will even mail this entire beauty bundle to the lucky winner at no cost to them.
The following items are all included in this bigger-than-Kim-Kardashian’s-diamond Hot Summer Giveaway. Please note that I list shade names where applicable and tried to give links to the exact item. No items can be substituted, changed or omitted. What you see is truly what the winner will get. The winner will receive EVERYTHING listed below:

Anxiously awaiting the Lost finale event - 4 hours of me not moving from in front of my TV. I still have a ton of questions and feel more confused than ever but I am staying positive that the writers will help us make sense of it all tonight.
Tonight’s Lost themed dinner will include:
Grilled Pineapple and Onion Salad
Even if the finale doesn’t live up to the hype, I’m pretty confident our dinner will!
The Help by Kathryn Stockett…one of those books that made me sad when it finished. Quick synopsis: takes place in the 1960s in Mississippi and has three main characters: two strong-willed and hard-working black maids and a young white woman - all who realize segregation is messed up! Yeah, duh. Together, these three decide to write a covert book from the perspective of black maids in the south.
There were so many times during this book I just lol’d by the characters’ dialgoue and thinking. Specifically Minnie - one of the maids - she was quite a hoot. I also loved the relationship between Aibileen, the other maid, and the little girl she was practically raising. This book will keep you turning the pages. You continue to want to find out what happens next. It might be thick, but trust me, you’ll get through it quickly.
It is still mind boggling to me that in our parents’ lifetime there were laws segregating blacks and whites. Not to say that all racial or social inequalities have been eliminated, obviously they haven’t. But we’ve come a long way. Look at our President.
Clearly, I loved this book and highly recommend it. My grade? A.
This is the next book on my list to read once I finish The Glass Castle!
Just booked tickets for a trip to Miami in June. 4 days of nothing but sun, relaxation, the beach, food and drinks. Ahhh vacation…where have you been all my life!
There are only 2 of us living in this apartment but if you look at our dirty dishes every day, you would think there was a family of 5 living here.
My credit card got a lot of action today. Started off at Target…enough said. Then hit up Ann Taylor Loft to check out their sale. Everything in the store was 40% off. I ended up with 3 tops and a skirt. I could have probably bought a lot more but I needed to have some self-control. Last stop was Wegmans to get some kabobs and steaks for the grill. I love weekends!
Mmmm Garlic Rolls (Via)
These look so amazing. Reblogging so I can make these asap!
if you ever visit citizens bank park - or philly in general - promise me you’ll try these.
The crab fries line is always my first stop at the game before I even find my seats!
Mary Kate and Ashley say so.
I’ve always been a fan of the bell bottom jeans so this makes me pretty happy!!
